What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Double Pneumonia?

My mom is 81. I Took Her To her primary on 1/9/15. He said take her to the er because it sounds like double pneumonia. Took her to er. Her o2 Stat was 82. They admitted her for CHF. They said she needs open heart surgery but don t know if she s a candidate because she has three leaky valves. What are her chances of surviving if she has the surgery. She is on 3 liters or O2

HI,Dear,thanks for the query for your mom,for her double pneumonia due to CHF.1-I studied your query in depth,2-In my opinion she had CHF and not double pneumonia,and is the cause for her breathlessnes and low O2.3-Though technically doctors opinion is right,I would not advise openheart -as its very risky to her life at her age and in the present condition.Still if the condition is stabilised after drug treatment,that is the option for the care of the CHF with 3 valvular leaks.4-She would come out of this condition but the risk is more,if the infection in lungs sets in.5-Hope You got the answer for your query on your moms ill health.6.Thnks for query to HCM.7-Wellcome for more query if you need so.
