hi I am 24 weeks pregnant have been feeling my baby move for weeks and it stopped went to er heartrate and everything looks good but the dr said my hcg levels have dropped to 1804 he said that is about half the lower end of what is normal my ob s nurse blew it off and said as long as im feeling the baby move it was fine I tried to explain to her that I haven t she said it was too early to feel real kicks even though I have been not only feeling but seeing them for weeks does this low level mean anything could I be going into labor I have been having back pain all day but no contractions that the er picked up
No, labor is unlikely. The hCG hormone helps support pregnancy and it could indicate slight trouble, but will have to be closely monitored to find the cause for low levels and if a further drop is seen, correction might be required. Please report to ypur doctor for regular follow ups.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
