Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Performing
unprotected Oral sex on a female can be a possible route for transmission of various STD's like throat
gonorrhea, oro-labial herpes and possibly but less likely HIV.
Therefore, these STD's should be in the differential diagnosis of
sore throat and either confirmed or ruled out by clinical examination and appropriate tests.
Throat gonorrhea presents similarly to a sore throat with pain on swallowing and swollen glands.
A swab test taken from the mucosa to look for gonococcal DNA would be confirmatory. Treatment of phrayngal gonorrhea would be with injectable
ceftriaxone.
Oro-labial herpes, specially if it is a primary infection, usually presents with much pain and oral sores along with systemic symptoms like fever, malaise and headache etc.
The diagnosis of Oro-labial herpes is mainly clinical and treatment is with Oral antivirals i.e
acyclovir Or valacyclovir.
Therefore I suggest you to visit a doctor for an examination and for necessary test and treatment.
