What Are The Symptoms Of A Fracture Of The Ankle?

The left side of my right ankle was hit several times by a very hard object. It is bruised and a little swollen. It hurts a lot when I touch it and move it around. It hurts to walk on it, but i still can limp around on it. It hurts a ton when i go on my tip toes too. Do you think it is fractured or broken or just badly bruised or something else?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Since it was a direct impact over the Medial malleolus of the L foot , we need to take an x ray to rule out fracture ( since the pain is severe ). If fracture is ruled out then cold packs with rest and analgesics will do the job.

If there is fracture, then proper assessment is needed by an orthopaedician. Please consult an orthopaedician
