What Are The Symptoms Of A Lateral Disc Herniation At L3-L4?
what would the symptoms be of a far lateral disc herniation at L3-L4, small herniation compressing the right L3 nerve. small compression. I believe the disc is out 1 mm. I have severe pain on weight bearing in right leg, buttock groin and inner thigh pain upper thigh to knee and lower leg in front to a smaller degree.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. The symptoms are exactly coinciding with the herniation, it doesn't appear to depend upon the degree of herniation, but how much it is exerting pressure on the nerve. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have a C.T.scan for detailed description of the nerve compression. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, anti inflammatory drugs, for conservative treatment. Avoid taking potato, tomato, and sea foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
