What Are The Symptoms Of An Autoimmune Disease?

I have arthritis in my hips, knees, ankles, big toes, low back and mid back, fatty liver disease, hypothyroidism, costochondritis, hiatal, and umbilical hernia. I have also have plantar fasciitis, heel spur, and carpal tunnel, and stage 1 kidney disease. I was not put on medication for my thyroid for almost 2 years after labs were critical high 12.9 thyroid. Is it possible that I have an autoimmune disease?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Many auto immune conditions are there, which may present mostly like fatigue, joint pain and swelling, skin problems, abdominal pain or digestive issues recurring fever or swollen glands etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Common auto immune disease like auto immune thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosis, psoriasis etc.

Please check for complete rheumatological profile and get treated accordingly.

Take care.
