Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are worried that you may be having an eating disorder. You have mentioned that you don't have control over eating and that you seem to be having many other features of an eating disorder. Also, this age group of late teens is when many eating disorders start.

Some of the typical symptoms of an eating disorder are:
- Refusal to maintain a body weight that is at or above the minimum normal weight for your age and height
- Intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat
- Having a distorted image of your appearance or shape
- Eating too much food in one go / Bingeing
- Engaging in weight losing behaviours like induced vomiting, purging, taking water pills, etc.

In your case, you have any of the above features, then you definitely need a detailed evaluation to confirm a diagnosis of an eating disorder.

Wish you all the best.

HI
Well come to HCM
Eating disorder mainly associated with psychological condition, if there is no history of disease, if this is true then you need to keep the stress level low, such symptoms may be harmful later on, if you can not come out of this condition then better to see the psychiatrist, hope this helps.
