Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Symptoms Of Gallstones And Teratoma In The Ovary?
I Have had loose stools and sharp abdominal pains for the last few days. I suspect food poisoning but in 2012 I had a bCT scan of my stomach. There were a few gall bladder stones and a Terra Tumour on my R ovary. I am getting a new refrigerator to prevent possible food poisoning. What are the symptoms for each condition?
Pain abdomen, nausea, fever are generally seen in patients with gallstones. Sometimes its not symptomatic. As you said there are gall stones that were noted when you did CT scan.
Have you taken any treatment for the same? If not I would advise you to talk to your doctor.
Ovarian teratomas are generally benign and symptoms are not specific as the painless lump. Its treatment is surgery most of the times depending on the nature of the ovarian teratoma.
I would advise you to consult a gynaecologist for the same and follow her advice for its management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
