Hello ma'am and welcome.

I do not wish to contradict your doctor, but with experience from several patients and what textbook knowledge imparts, any abnormality in the female body can influence the menstrual cycle. Causing a delay or an early onset of the period. In my opinion both the infection and/or the medications used to treat gonorrhea can easily influence your menstraul cycle causing a delay.

But of course, pregnancy should be adequately ruled out. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
