I have an itchy bump about the size of a mosquito bite, it doesnt appear to have other small bumps around it like herpes. I also had a swollen itchy portion of my other labia again without any blisters. Does this sound like herpes or is it more likely just an irritation?
From the history you have give you are not suffering from Herpes Progenitalis.
The Lesion of the herpes occur as multiple grouped vesicles with symptoms like severe burning and pain. They are seldom itchy.
The Itch you described may be due to allergic contact dermatitis or infection. if you are diabetic it may due to candidiasis. the allergic contact dermatitis may occur due to female hygiene products or other lubricating and cleansing products. Itching on genitals is also common in post menopausal women due to atrophic vaginitis.
For treatment if would prefer an oral antihistaminc like Cetrizine Once daily. For Further management consult a dermatologist who will examine the lesion and prescribe accordingly.
