If Abreva doesn t help, and my antibiotic didn t do much after 7 days, does that mean I don t have impetigo? What is it? Started as tiny bumps under my nose when I was just getting over the flu and 3 colds back to back. I have an autoimmune disease.
Hi. Impetigo would respond to antibiotic. But, if you are immunosuppressed ( say due to drugs used to control autoimmune disorders), it may take longer to heal. Another possibility is herpes labialis. Adding a clinical photograph would help in making a more definitive opinion. Hope it answers your queries.
