What Are The Symptoms Of Potential Colon Cancer?

Hi my mother has been having bouts of rectal bleeding-approx. every 5 days. No pain, just a burning sensation. She has experienced this with and without a bowl movement.
Is this a common symptom for colon/rectal cancer on it's own? She is not feeling anything else. She does suffer from constipation for many years.

All these symptoms do fit in the picture of colon cancer. However, there are a number of other non cancerous conditions that can also give rise to such a picture. What these symptoms warrant is further investigations to come to a diagnosis. So show your mother to a cancer surgeon and he will do the necessary investigations.
