When i had unprotected sex i was on day 9 of my cycle i started getting symptoms of being pregnant after a while but i thought maybe they were because i was getting close to my period but my period was 11 days late , then 30 days later after i had sex i started getting regular menstrual cramping but i never started my period until the next day and my cramps went to normal to very painful and my blood was a very bright red orange and it only lasted a day and a half. i never really thought that i was pregnant but could i have been pregnant and had a miscarriage?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. If you are having unprotected intercourse and irregular bleeding then chances of pregnancy can be there. I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done and if positive, then further management should be done accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
