Hi my name is Janie I think I maybe pregnant but not sure. Its been a week my iud fell out and had sex after. He came three times. I started my period two days after but have had tenderness in the breasts nausia throughing up and weird cravings. I was wondering is this possible?
Pregnancy symptoms vary widely between women, and many of the signs we associate with pregnancy are also common during menstruation. In addition, many women have symptoms of pregnancy from the stress of worrying if they are pregnant. However, the most common sign of pregnancy is missing your period, so the fact that you got it really rules out pregnancy.
So it is unlikely you conceived after this episode of unprotected sex, however, if you keep having unprotected sex after this menstrual cycle you are at risk of getting pregnant. So I suggest if you do not want to be pregnant you contact your healthcare provider to replace your IUD or select another birth control method.
I hope i was able to adequately able to answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Hello dear Understand your concern Pregnancy is not possible in the presence of the bleeding/period. Missed period is cardinal sign of pregnancy. As your IUD falls out, sudden withdrawal can cause hormonal imbalance. So I think tenderness breast, nausea and craving are due to hormonal dysfunction. It will disappear in 1-2 week as your body get adapted to without the IUD and hormone come back to normal level. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Safgar
