Hello, Thank you for asking on HCM! I am trying to give you some suggestions regarding to your symptoms. You didn't mention your age and the examinations you have done, but the most common causes of secondary amenorrhea at the age under thirties (when pregnancy is excluded) are:
-PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) -Prolactinoma and other hormonal disturbances -Heavy physical activity -Stress ect.
The exams that help to make a diagnosis at your case are:
-Ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries -FSH,LH,Estradiol and progesterone -TSH -Prolactine at 8.00 a.m.
Regarding the thyroid function, both hypo and hyperthyroidism may be a cause of irregular menstrual cycle. You have to discuss with your doctor about the above mentioned exams in order to try to make a diagnosis. Hope the information will be somewhat helpful.
Kind regards, Dr.M.Guni
