What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Arcoxia Tablets?
Hi there, I m a 24year old female, I ve started to take arcoxia medication for my recent diagnoses of arthritis .. Today my blood results read my haemoglobin is on the low side.. Is this normal ?and what advice can be given to get it normal again? And is it anything to worry about? I have been really tired since starting the arcoxia and sulfasalazine is this to be expected?
Welcome to HCM and thank you for the query. Both Arcoxia and Sulfasalazine can rarely cause anemia. It can result from decreased production of red blood cells in the bone marrow or increased destruction of the red blood cells. These can occur rarely from the two medicines. The anemia may also occur from a blood loss from the GI tract if you are having abdominal pain or burning. There are other non related causes like iron or vitamin deficiency. You should see your doctor and the anemia should be investigated to know the cause. In the mean while you should eat a wholesome food rich in green leafy vegetables and iron. Take Care Dr Noble Zachariah
