What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Depo Provera Injection?
I am 56 years old 5 5 weight 250 lbs. I have had 2 hysteroscopy with D&C for menopausal bleeding. The last procedure was in May, have been bleeding since then. Was put on BC pills, then we tried provera now I was given the injection depo provera 150 mg to see if this will help. Will this bleeding stop with this.
Hello dear I understand your concern Depo provera contain progesterone and help to relieve the bleeding. It promote the growth of the endometrium and reduce the bleeding. It should use every week for 6-8 week. If it will help then does should be maintain one injection every month. It cause side effects like abdominal pain, nausea, weakness, dizziness, headache, breast pain, bloating. So take it to stop the bleeding under the advise of the gynecologist. Hope this may help you
