What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Efudex 5 Cream?

Hi I am on day 16 of applying efudex 5% twice daily to my face limiting application to my side burns out towards my cheeks to my temples across the top of my brows and down to my neck making for a 3 inch wide area by 9 inches. I was so dry that that starting three days ago I have been using Aquaphor applying an hour after treatment. My skin is red, crusty and oozing. When I wipe off the fluid is appears yellowish. The area below my brows and under my eyes as well as the side of my face are significantly swollen. I have been careful to keep the medicine outside my eye glass lines. Have I reached erosion phase and is the yellow fluild a result of the mixing with aquaphor and considered normal? The right side is worst that the left as far a swelling around the eyes, possibly due to sleeping on it more and possibly limiting airflow causing a reaction similar to having a bandage over it. I can t explain the difference in sides otherwise. Any thoughts on that too? I wash with Dial anti-bacterial soft soap a half an hour before each treatment I think this is leading to a faster absorption rate. I am 55 with fair skin and do form keloids easily and worried about scaring.
