What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Epidural Steroid Injection?
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to answer my ?.. I m going to be having a Epidural Steroid Injection in my spine, I m a little concerned because the doctor that will be doing it, well is reviews as a doctor are not very favorable.. Should I seek another doctor with higher ratings?
Hello there, As a patient you have the full right to request another doctor. But before that let me assure you an epidural procedure even though it involves the spine is fairly routine for a doctor of that field. On an average a person would perform close to 100 epidurals per year during residency. That gives him/her enough practice to be adept at it. So you need to understand trust is a 2 way street and believe in your doctor and let him/her handle it. Maybe you can request that the procedure be done in the morning. That is a time the doctor is at his freshest and will be able to give you maximum attention. Hope this helps, Dr Arun A
