What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Lasilactone 50 Mg And Gtn Sorbitrate 6.4?

Hi doctor,I am a high bp patient having 55% blockage in my heart.My doctor has prescribed the following medicines to take daily after food. In morning before breakfast 1 tab pan D ,after breakfast 1 tab metolar xr 50, 1 telmed 20,1 tab GTN sorbitrate 2.6,1 tab lasilactone 50,and after dinner 1 tab unistar 75/10.kindly advise me for what purpose all these tablets are prescribed and what are all the side effects if I take these tablets ao my whole life.You can mail me answers to YYYY@YYYY .

Hi & Welcome.

Given below are the uses and side effects of prescribed medications;

1. Lasilactone capsule contains Furosemide and Spironolactone.
Both belong to a group of medicines called diuretics (water pills) and used to reduce the extra water in your body which can cause swollen ankles, shortness of breath etc.

Side effects: gynecomastia, ear damage, impotency.

2. GTN sorbitrate: Nitroglycerin controlled release tablets. It is a long-term management drug for treating angina pectoris and heart failure.

Side effects: headache, facial flushing, light-headedness, & dizziness, increased heart beats.

2. Metolar XR (Metoprolol) is a type of beta-blocker which is primarily prescribed to treat angina and hypertension

Slow heart beat, fatigue, weakness, difficulty in breathing, etc.

3, Telmed 20: It is an Angiotension II receptor blocker used to treat hypertension and kidney failure.
Side effects: Increased serum potassium level, dry cough, swelling of the lips, etc.

4. Unistar 75/10 contains Aspiring 75 mg and Rosuvastatin 10 mg.
Both are used to reduce the clot formation.

Aspirin is a blood thinner, prevents platelet aggregation and thus reduces the clot formation.
Side effects: stomach upset, gastritis, bleeding, etc.

Rosuvastatin is a cholesterol lowering drug, reduces the fat deposition in the blood vessels and hence the risk of heart attack.

Side effects: Muscle pain, liver injury, gastritis, etc.

5. Pan D contains Pantoprazole & Domperidone
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach and thus helpful in reducing the acidity caused by the medications prescribed.

Side effects: headache, vitamin B12 deficiency, thinning of the bones.

Domperidone is an antiemetic prevents the nausea and vomiting that can be caused by the medicines.

Side effects: Headache, dizziness, etc.
