Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I recently changed from Microgynon to Levest (started taking Levest one week ago) and have been experiencing spotting in this time. Is there any reason for this, should I take my weeks break now, even though I ve just started a new pack? I did not break between my last Microgynon and my first Levest. Thanks
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Microgynon/ Levest (ethinylestradiol+ levonorgestrel) Levonorgestrel is synthetic, biologically active progestin that transforms proliferative endometrium into secretory endometrium and inhibits secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, preventing follicular maturation and ovulation.Used for prevention of pregnancy. Side effects:-spotting. There is no difference between Microgynon & Levest
