What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Desonide Ointment 0.05?

Is the white discoloration from the use of desonide ointment .05 permanent? What are some steps I could take in order to help even my skin tone after some discoloration from the ointment itself? It did help with the redness to fade I just notice some spots are a little discolored than others... Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hypopigmentation of the skin (loss of skin pigment) is a side effect of persistent or excess use of steroids.

The pigment would return but it may take weeks to months for this to occur.

The time frame would vary from one person to the next but minimally it would take at least 3 to 4 weeks.

I hope this helps
