What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Naturogest?

(I am 34 years old, trying to conceive for last 6 months and my periods are regular)I got my IUI done today, dr could not do intra uterine IUI (probably because i have small fibroids) and attempted intra cervix during IUI. She has suggested that I go for hysteroscopy to see if there is a blockage before getting any further IUI. However, she has asked me to take Naturogest 200mg twice daily from tonight onwards for next 2 weeks. I am really scared as I have read a few side effects and lot of withdrawal effects of this medicine, is it safe to take this. Why has she prescribed it to me? and what could be the side effects?

Hi

Naturogest contains the female hormone progesterone which is essential to maintain pregnancy in the early stages.All though the drug can cause side effects it may be required to increase the chance of healthy pregnancy.

The side effects of the drug are bloating, acne, weight gain ,fluid retention,breast tenderness,changes in appetite,fever and depression.
