What Are The Uses And Withdrawal Effects Of Tramadol?

I currently am 35 weeks pregnant and was put on tramadol by my last doctor I stopped taking them 2days ago which I was only taking one 50 mg a day was wondering how long it would take for the medication to get out of my baby s system? And if she will have any withdrawal symptoms? I really worried.

Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern. Tremadol is an opioid drug and the drug is an analgesic drug. The drug if stopped abruptly after regular intake cause withdrawal symptoms so it is not advisable to take the drug in pregnancy. If a female takes drug in pregnancy then best time to discontinue the drug is in last trimester of pregnancy. You have stopped the drug and are in 35th week. In my opinion the drug will clear out in a couple weeks and will not cause withdrawal in baby. So no need to worry, try to avoid using the drug in future.
