Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query. Seroxat is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which is good for depression, anxiety and panic episodes. The symptoms you experience are not an adverse withdrawal reaction like if you are on an opioid but a return of depression and anxiety. While you are on it, you should try the natural way of optimizing your serotonin level like eating wholesome healthy food, exercising every day for minimum of 30minutes, practising stress relieving measures like yoga, meditation and friendly interaction with others. Then start reducing the dose without getting any symptom and then gradually stop it. If you have further queries, I shall be happy to answer. Best wishes, Dr Noble Zachariah
