What Are The Withdrawal Symptoms Of Meloxicam And Lyrica?
I have had a dull headache for three days. yesterday I began having a spasm between my ring and middle finger and still at this minute my two fingers do not feel right. I can see but can not see clearly. I have been diagnosed with a neuropathy in my right arm, the current symptoms are all on my left side. The VA started me on meloxicam and lyrica about a month ago, I was to take the Meloxacam for two weeks then start the lyrica I did just as the dr. ordered I ran out of the Meloxacam and called for a new prescription which has not arrived, on Friday I felt so bad and could hardly put weight on my left leg. I could see a large green vein medially right at the knee I tried just babying it. Then yesterday the weird tingling feeling began between my fingers. My fingers went into a spasm stiff and pointing in odd direction. I have not taken any of this medicine for the past three days. I am 52 years old I have COPD. I also have a lot of pain behind my left knee. I have contacted the VA and now waited for a call back since Friday. Is this something I can call today a get a drs visit for or is this something I need to go to the ER.
Meloxicam acts like aspirin but with more potential for harm to the vessels. The withdrawal is removal of its effects ONLY. This may produce pain and inflammation.
We do not give housecoats but give general advice that might apply to your particular situation.
Withdrawal of lyrica is unlikely to cause symptoms. There is some risk of having withdrawal effects from it. It would be from overexcitement of the nervous system after the lyrica had surpressed it. The symptoms from lyrica withdrawal may include problems with seizures, feeling irritable, with cramps, spasms or numbness.
