What Are The Yellow Crusty Spots On The Nipples During Pregnancy?

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I have noticed that one of my nipples appears to have 3 small yellow crusty spots right on the centre. It is not painful, won t wash off and I haven t noticed leaking. I tried gentle squeezing to see if I was leaking, but nothing came out. I m Terified to pick it off as it looks like I ll leave a substantial hole, but I don t want to leave it either.

Hi, I have gone through your question. The yellow crusty spots on the nipple are nothing but the colustrum which has come out. Colostrum is the first milk which come out from the breast after the baby is born. It is rich in fats, hence yellow.
I assure you not to worry as it will not cause any problem and please don't try to remove them as then a potential site of infection will be open.
