Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history your wife suffering from
Typhoid, changed two consultants but not working out. Taking Meflotas, Pantosec-D and
Flexon.
This indicates the following:
- Meflotas Tablet is composed of the following active ingredients
Mefloquine (250 mg) and works against
Malaria, which you Doctor must have thought as a concurrent infection that can occur with Typhoid as Typhoid reduced the body resistance so much.
- I am sure that your wife must have received antibiotic treatment active against Typhoid, which you have not mentioned.
- Go for the blood, culture and sensitivity reports as this may find the proper infective agents and get a appropriate treatment to get a cure.
- When there is no relief, better to go for further other tests like X-ray of the chest,
ultrasonography of the abdomen and urine and stool tests as these can likely diagnose other concurrent infections. and get you proper treatment additionally.
