Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 48 year old Black female, about 5 2 and 150 lbs in good health. My right leg feels like the blood is bubbling. It started at my hip this morning and was aching, and is now around the lower outside of my thigh. It does not ache but I can feel a bubbling sensation every few seconds. Is this serious and what causes it?
The sensation of blood passing through the veins or arteries may sometimes cause abnormal feeling like bubbling or vibrating. It occurs when there is some sort of narrowing or compression of the affected vessel. You need to get a colour Doppler done of the affected limb for confirmation of the diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Rohan Shanker Tiwari, Orthopedic Surgeon
