What Caises Numbness On Top Of The Lip?

The very top of my lip has been feeling partially numb for the past 5 days. I do not smoke nor have I been drinking. The only thing that s been weird in that time frame is that I have not been taking my Levora pills since Friday. (a week ago) The numbness is just in the curve of my lip and there s been no pain or redness with it, just feels a tad dry.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for numbness on top of the lip. You have not told us your age, sex and relevant history of any illness or any systemic condition to rule out the exact cause of the problem.

Most commonly the numbness on top of the lip can be due to the any nerve irritation or mild nerve compression or due to vitamin deficiency most commonly due to Vitamin B12 or cyanocobalamine.

If I were your treating doctor then would have prescribed you to take Vitamin B12 or cyanocobalamine daily for two times. Do not worry you will be alright soon.

All the best.
