What Can I Do About Grief From The Loss Of A Loved One Leading To A Lack Of Motivation To Do Anything In Life?

I often feel worthless, I lost most of my interest in activities I enjoy, I lost a family member that loved me dear to my heart a few years ago, and I recently lost it all at the age of 11. I just want to escape from reality. Do you know what this means? Thanks.

Hi,

Feeling of worthlessness and an urge to withdraw from your social circle and activities are symptoms of depression. In your case, the loss of a dear one may be the triggering cause of this, resulting in Reactive depression. To escape from reality, is not an healthy way to deal with this situations. You are advised to see a psychiatrist & treated your problems with anti-depressive drugs and/or psychological counselling, as advised by your psychiatrist. This may help you in dealing the situation in a more healthy and comfortable way.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
