What Can I Do About Irregular Periods And Intermittent Sharp Abdominal Pain?

I have very irregular periods. Like one time I didn t get it for 5 months. I also have sharp, dull, and stabbing pains but they come and go. Me and my bf have had sex several times unprotected and I think I might have fertility issues. I m 5 foot and 90 pounds. Should I maybe go see a doctor?

Hi,

Irregular periods along with being over weight can be due to PCOD. This is an ovulation problem. Many immature follicles collect in the ovary and the pain you get is due to the stretching of the ovary. Please meet your doctor (gynecologist), get investigated to pin point the cause of menstrual irregularity. This would help in specific treatment and relief from your problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
