HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this was the first incidence and it is not the history of epilepsy is there then I would say that it is not the normal incidence but it demands the investigations, so the first test that is to be done is the CT of brain.
Certain medical conditions are there that could be the reason if this is pure form of seizure or convulsion, like epilepsy (could be late onset ) Hypoglycemia, electrolyte imbalance, it could be due to infection (Cerebral infection ) in last but not least it could be hysteria.
Because of the convulsion or seizure it may cause the serious injury and if it has some symptoms then it may not be normal one and it has to be rule out for the trauma.
hope this information helps.
