What Can I Do To Ease The Cramps And Diarrhea?

Hello doctor,
.
I am a 56 year old woman. I was awoken Thursday night by stomach cramps, followed by the runs. For the next few days if I ate or drank anything it I was off running to the bathroom. Major cramping then SQUIRT. The cramping would get so intense I would roll up a towel place it over the lower ab and press into it to ease the pain. At first I thought it was food poisoning. Or was it antibiotics I took twice the month prior to my extraction? Today I finally was able to venture out for about an hour before I had to run back home. Cramping stills gets intense not as often. diarrhea looks light in color and mucus. I continue to drink Gatorade, water, ginger tea. I had some toasted bread this afternoon and evening with chicken soup. I took probiotics the past two days. I NEED to go to work tomorrow. What can I do to ease the cramps and diarrhea? I would like your advice.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

It will be helpful if you mention the name of the antibiotics you have taken for extraction.

After reading your post, I would like to advise that you should continue with the probiotics.
You should also take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals and Dicyclomine twice a day after meals.

Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions.
Also maintain hydration by drinking water and hydrating fluids.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
