What Can I Do To Increase Fluid Level In Pregnancy?

I am almost 37 weeks, my last week scan showed AFI at 11 (before it was detected by another doctor at 7.5), also baby weight was 2.2 kg, with LOP presentation. I discharged white thick stuff during whole pregnancy, little though, now its kind of yellowish. Doctor said if its thick, then its ok. I am supposed to get doppler test tomorrow.
I need to know what can I do to increase fluid level and will I have normal delivery at 40 weeks? I want to wait as much as possible in hopes that baby gains weight.

Hi,
The amniotic fluid index as reported during your latest sonogram indicates normal finding. Therefore, there is no need to worry. Moreover, since your pregnancy is almost term, you need not worry about fetal maturity also if in case you need to deliver earlier than the due date. If the vaginal discharge is yellowish in color, you may need a speculum exam, get a vaginal swab, fetal cardiotocogram or doppler study and watch for fetal movements. Try to take adequate liquids and rest in left lateral position. Hope this helps.
