Hi doc, I have airways had a regular period of 30 days. This time my period went past 20 day. I am not involved Ina my sexual activity for the past few months ash hence the chance of pregnancy is nil. Since my husband was in town and I dint want my period to come ,I took regestrone 5 mg tablet for 2 days ie one per day. I feel some brown discharge after the 2nd day of taking the tablet. I was later advised to take this tablet namely ,TRAPIC to stop the bleeding. I need to have sex with my husband and hence I can’t afford to bleed. Hi,
In order to postpone your periods, you have start taking tab Regestrone well before due date of periods. Your doctor must have advised so. The Regestrone pills can cause spotting before periods as a side effect of the drug. Please don't worry for slight spotting. Continue with your activities. But in case of profuse bleeding, you need to take Trapic in increased dose of Trapic as per advice by your treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
