Hello and thanks for the query,
I understand and appreciate your concern for your daughter.
Recurrence of
appendicitis twice after surgery is rare. I suggest that you get her reevaluated by a gastroenterologist for any other reason like intestinal adhesions or some cause other than
appendix [there may be innumerable reasons for this type of pain].
Also as she is in the last month of
pregnancy, you may also discuss with her gynecologist for a planned induction of labor after 37weeks if she is having too much pain. It is better for any intervention to be done after delivery rather than during the last month as chances of complications are very high if any surgical intervention is done in last month.
An
ultrasound, and an ECG need to be done to determine the cause of pain. Meanwhile try using a
soft diet, soups and juices to keep meet her calories requirement and light exercise like walking to help digestion. Avoid food with lots of spices. Further treatment will depend upon the assessment of a gastroenterologist.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
