What Can Be Done For High Blood Pressure Despite Taking Medicine?
I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM YESTERDAY WHEN MY BLOOD PRESSURE SKYED FROM 140 TO 190 OVER A SHORT TIME, HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN LISINAPRILE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE AND IT HAS DONE A GOOD JOB. THE DOCTOR IN THE E ROOM PRESCRIBED CLONIDINE .01 MG TWICE A DAY AND DOUBLE UP ON THE LININIPRIL. I AM SCEDULING A FOLLOW UP VISIT TO MY REGULAR HEART DOCTOR, DR GRACEFO IN ARLINGTON, TX I HAVE NOT HAD THIS EXPERIENCE BEFORE ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN TREETED FOR A-FIB AS MY HEART SEEMS TO OVER PUMP EVERY YEAR TO 18 MONTHS. THE HOSP ALWAYS BRINGS IT DOWN. PETE JENSEN, 81 YEARS OLD AND OTHERWISE VERY HEALTHY
The drugs and their doses have to be tailored to every individual There are several classes of drugs and several drugs in each class… You may benefit from diuretic / calcium blocker and so on If resistant, you need investigations – electrolytes, kidney and so on You need follow up… The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.
Good luck Take care Wishing all well God bless
