What Can Be Done To Avoid Developing Itchy Areas Around Ankles, Arms, Leg With Discharge In Warm Weather?

In warm weather I develop areas on my ankles, arms & legs that have a pussy discharge & are itchy. It seems to be related to the sun. I do not stay out excessively long, but what are these annoying things? I am not very conscientious about applying sun screen. I m 68, never had skin cancer, am fair skinned.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be irritant or allergic contact dermatitis. As you saisd about pus dichsrge, means the disease is secondarily infected by bacteria. It may be exacerbated by sunexposure, soap bath, pollutants, wool or diet like cow milk, sea food,nuts..etc. you consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Short course of antibiotics, antihistaminics and tappering course of steroids might be helpful in cure of disease. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
