Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, Normally newborn babies have reddish skin tone which gradually becomes normal. Please dont be too concerned about fairness as that is purely genetic and you cant apply anything to change it. Please do not try any fairness products as that will do more harm than good. As for your second query babies normally have colicky pain in their abdomen as their digestive systems take time to get adjusted to milk etc.and gripe water may help. It is better to use baby oils than coconut oil until atleast 3 months age as some develop allergies. you could try applying now if nothing happens you can safely continue.again coconut oil has nothing to do with skin colour. I urge you not to be concerned about your child's skin colour and please dont try any remedies. Forget your worries and enjoy your bundle of joy. Take care
