What Can Be The Cause For Pain That Spread Through My Chest Cavity With Digestive Problem ?
I was not aware when the event happened and am trying to pinpoint the day. There was a growing pain that spread through my chest cavity and then grew stronger. But I had a digestive disturbance later and was not sure if I would be sick, then had a bowel movement and felt better. For week i kept having the tummy turnout. Some people I knew said i had caught their tummy flu and I put it all down to that. Now there is the ECG and I wonder if that was the inferior MI.
Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Vague chest pains and abdominal discomfort are characteristic features of angina and MI.they should never be taken easily and are generally mistaken as acidity or gas problem.Consult a cardiologist and get yourself evaluated properly. Thanks and good luck.
Dear pamelat2411,
Your symptoms are suggestive of impending to frank cardiac problem. It can be severe gastroesophagial reflux also causing gastric acid to flow back in the the esophagus causing severe heartburn. If your ECG shows changes,it is better to take treatment from cardiologist.Take care.
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Inferior wall MI can present in a very subtle manner, like vague lower chest pain, abdominal discomfort etc. ECG can tell for sure whether it was a MI. It will show ST segment variations in the leads 2, 3 ,avf. Please show your ecg to a physician as soon as possible .Do not neglect this.
Have a healthy life !
