What Can Be The Cause Sudden Black Out In The Eye?

Every time I stand up, I go blind for about 5-10 seconds. My mom saw it happen to me once and she said that I went cross-eyed. I sometimes feel lightheaded or like I m about to pass out when this happens and once, I actually fell to the floor. What is this and why is it happening?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sudden blackouts of vision lasting for 5-10 seconds every time you stand up.
These symptoms indicate episodes of dizziness and the common causes for this are low blood pressure or low sugar levels in blood or anemia. If any of these underlying causes are present they need to be corrected, otherwise no need to worry.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for evaluation to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
