What Can Be The Reason For Severe Continuous Headache After Giving Birth?

Hi, a week after I had my daughter, for months I had severe headaches. Always at the back right hand side of my head, it got so bad I was in tears at night, I found out sleeping sitting helped a lot. No amount of pain killers worked, I delt with it for 6 months, it s not everyday now, it s more like once a week and a lot less painful. But now iv started having twitches in my upper left eye lid, iv had them for about 3 months, also I don t know if it s related but I m finding myself getting pins and needles in my hands very easily. Iv noticed that the past week. What could be the cause of this or am I over reacting?

Answer : One of the rare complications after childbirth is Cortical Venous Thrombosis. This can cause Headache. Hence We have to Rule this out first as it can cause more damage than other causes of headache. I would request you to kindly consult a Neurosurgeon at the earliest
