Hi thanks for contacting HCM... You have diabetis .... Is it under control with drugs or insulin ???? In diabetis sometimes keton bodies may increased that is called ketoacidosis ... So your blood and urine keton body estimation needs to be done .... If needed arterial blood gas analysis useful... If present then treated accordingly with insulin and fluid replacement , pottasium supplement , sodium bicarbonate etc .... Consult physician for that .... If you have done prolonged starvation then also fruity smell from ketoacidosis can occurs ... Take care ....
