What Can Be The Reason For The Child To Vomit Continuously?

Hi I have a 3 month old son and he has been having a lot of projectile vomiting and hasn't kept his milk down all day. His vomit also has a bit of a foul smell. He is also passing a lot of gas that smells really bad like a rot in egg. The formula he is on is alimentum which has a bit of and bad smell but I am smelling a different smell other than his milk when he vomits

Hi,
Welcome to Hcm,
I am sorry to hear about your child's troublesome situation . There is actually no reason why a baby of 3 months should normally vomit like you described. If he is vomiting significantly after every feed , then a surgical problem like some obstruction in the food tract should be thought of especially if he has lost significant amount of weight or not gained weight adequately. But if his weight is good, then the vomiting might not be a significant one. However, if I were your pediatrician and after completely evaluating your son feel that there is a problem, I would refer him to a pediatric surgeon and get ultrasound done. Would advice you to do that. Happy yp clear further doubts. Take care.
