What Can Cause Adams Apple To Protrude With Swelling In Neck?

Hi there, I just have a question about Adams apples. My husband just leant over to give me a kiss and I noticed that his adams apple appeared to be noticeably protruding. I have never noticed it before as it doesn't really protrude that much. On closer inspection it was off centre to his left and the left side of him neck appeared slightly swollen. He is well and shows no symptoms of anything. He has had a physical day digging. It is not painful or tender to touch. Just concerned what is going on Cheers

I appreciate you observation. Your husband might having laryngocele ( air filled swelling in larynx ) common in heavy physical workers increase while coughing , kissing & increasing pressure inside larynx.
I will suggest you to please consult your ENT doctor because here clinical examination is very important to diagnose the real fact and accordingly treatment may be planed.
