What Can Cause A Prolonged Lump In The Throat Cause In A Person Who Is Smoking?

I have two questions. I do smoke frequently and i was wondering if it has anything to do with my questions. My first question/statement is, for about 2 years i ve had this lump in my throat. It does nt go away if i take a drink and it is nt related to me being sick. Any ideas what it could be? For my second question, just two days ago, i ve been dealing with these pains and i m not sure what is causing them. Anytime o take a drink, my entire chest area feels like it s on fire. That is with anything i drink, water, juice, soda just about anything causes that burning in my chest. If you are able to give an answer or a clue as to what these things might be, i d appreciate very much. Thank you.

Hello

The lump may be a thyroid swelling or a lymphnode related to your smoking and i would strongly advice you to quit it.
The burning sensation is due to acidity/gastritis , which is again due to your smoking and you will need to meet your physician to rule out an ulcer or something more sinister, please dont delay and meet your doctor.
Please stop smoking!

Thanks
