Hi, I have noticed a small lump or growth , the size of a small mosquito bite at back of my 4 year old son's head ( right side). its not red , it doesn't hurt him, he doesn't scratch it , and he doesn't complain about it, but when we do touch it , he removes our had away from the spot. what can that be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question.. It sounds like you are palpating a lymph node. As long as it remains small and not painful when pressure is applied, you have nothing to worry about. It is a normal finding. I recommend mentioning it to your doctor at your son's next visit. But you don't have to make a special appointment for this.
