What Can Cause Abdominal Gas And Diarrhea After Receiving An Injection For Pain In The Joints?
I seem to have pain going from one joint to another. I go a doctor and they give me an injection and it get s better. Then another flares up. In the last 2 months I ve had an injection in my left knee, my left shoulder, my right hip and my upper back. I now am getting gas in my upper stomach, and a diarrhea. I m an 83 year old woman.

Usually the intra-articular injections are not associated with systemic side effects. It is the supportive oral medications given along with the same which can give GI upset with nausea, diarrhea and so forth.
Kindly provide me list of complete medications to figure out the issue in details and get help with the curative guidelines.

Those injections are steroids and they can cause peptic ulcer disease that lead to bloating. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use tablet Pantoprazole.
If symptoms not improved avoid steroid injections, better to get transplantation of joint.
Consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
