What Can Cause Blood In Urine While On Ibuprofen And Acetaminophen?

I found what looks like blood in my urine for the first time in my life! What is the cause or causes. I've been working in the yard all afternoon, bending over, lifting some heavy cement patio pavers, shoveling dirt into containers and lifting them into a wheelbarrow.
I was wearing a tool belt that was pretty tight against my lower abdomen. That's all I can think of. Oh, I have been taking 400mg of ibuprofen at the end of the day and good 600mg acetaminophen tonight after which I discovered the blood.

Hi,

The blood in urine is a possible side effect of Ibuprofen and should be stopped immediately.

Drink plenty of liquids and observe the urine for the next 24 hours, if later there is blood in urine, consult your physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
